Hands-on review: ZVEX Effects Fuzz Probe

I'm a drummer. I'm originally from Brazil. I play in a band called Glint.

One of the most underrated part of the drum kit are the resonant skins. I'm sure a lot of drummer pay little, if not any attention to this really important part of the drum sound creation. This is the skin that make you drum sound full and big. I've been working with the Evans Genera Resonant on my toms for quite sometime now. I've always been a lover of 'thunderly' toms sound, and this resonant skin does exactly that. It gives the drum a lively and vibrant sound. You will find these skins for a price that range from $12 to $30 buck, depending on size and type of store (online/retail). Look for package deals, I'm sure you can find them and get a descent discount price.

The Genera Resonant give to my toms a open, long and sustained sound making them very present on the overall sound of my kit. They work great with the EC2.

If you are looking for a more short and controlled sustain I would recommend going with the EC resonant.

These skins are consisted by a single 10 mil ply.

Perfect for the drummer looking for a present, full, vibrant and resonant tom sound.
